Assistant Manager Internal Audit

About the role

Hirewise is recruiting an Assistant Manager Internal Audit for a client based in Muslim Town, Lahore. The role ensures the integrity of financial and operational controls through risk-based audit planning, detailed testing and data-driven analysis. It is a full-time, on-site position requiring about five years of experience, with a preference for candidates from the manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review monthly accounts closing, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Review financial statements, general ledger accounts and supporting reconciliations
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial closing and audit requirements
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and supporting documentation
• Identify discrepancies in reporting and reconciliation and coordinate their resolution
• Review financial controls and recommend improvements to reporting and closing procedures
• Work with finance and accounts teams to address audit observations and closing issues
• Lead and supervise a team of five internal audit professionals, including guidance, training and performance feedback

Required profile

• CA Finalist: 35 years of relevant industry experience
• ICMA qualified: minimum 5 years of managerial-level experience
• ACCA qualified: 5 to 7 years of relevant industry experience
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred; others with relevant financial reporting and closing experience may be considered

Required skills

• Hands-on experience in financial reporting and monthly accounts closing
• Direct coordination with external auditors during annual closing
• Understanding of financial statements and account reconciliations
• Financial controls, documentation review and reporting accuracy
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Microsoft Excel and financial accounting software
