Bank Branch Manager

About the role

BankIslami Pakistan Limited is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead its branches across several cities in Pakistan. The role drives business growth, achieves financial targets, leads branch operations and ensures excellent customer service. It calls for strong expertise in sales, business development, profit and loss management, budgeting, regulatory compliance, risk management, cash reconciliation and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily branch operations in line with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Drive sales and business development to meet branch financial targets.
• Supervise and mentor a team of five staff members, covering performance management and professional development.
• Maintain strong customer relationships to improve satisfaction and retention.
• Plan and manage the branch budget, monitor profit and loss and implement cost control measures.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and risk management protocols, including BSA/AML workflows.
• Administer core banking platforms for accurate transactions and reporting.
• Oversee cash reconciliation and strengthen internal controls to protect branch assets.
• Run staff training, coaching and workforce planning, and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Work with senior management on branch strategy and keep up with industry best practices.

Required profile

• At least five years of relevant banking experience, including two years as a Branch Manager.
• Leadership, staff coaching, workforce planning and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in a relevant field; Professional certifications such as JAIBP or Certified Islamic Banker (CIB) are an added advantage.
