Bulk Testing Analyst

About the role

The Bulk Testing Analyst ensures that raw bulk materials used in cosmetics and personal‑care production meet internal quality standards and regulatory specifications. Working in a GMP‑compliant laboratory, you will sample, test, and release or hold batches before they enter manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Collect representative samples of creams, lotions, gels and other bulk formulations.
• Perform laboratory tests for pH, viscosity, appearance, odor and texture.
• Validate test results against internal standards and issue batch labels (hold/approved/reject).
• Conduct counter‑checks of drums before production release.
• Maintain traceability of materials and test records in line with GMP.
• Calibrate and validate instruments such as viscometers, pH meters and analytical balances.
• Keep the testing environment clean and aseptic.
• Coordinate with R&D, production and packaging teams to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in quality audits and SOP updates.
• Perform stability testing on retained bulk samples and report deviations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in quality control/assurance, preferably in cosmetics, personal‑care or FMCG manufacturing.
• Ability to identify non‑conformities and take corrective actions.
• Strong communication skills with both workers and management.
• Commitment to safety guidelines and a safe working environment.
