Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

About the role

The Pakistan Army is recruiting a full-time, on-site Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Karachi. CNAs provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, working with service members and other patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, feeding and comfort measures
• Monitor vital signs and support patient mobility
• Help maintain clean and safe patient environments
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to report changes in patient condition and ensure accurate documentation of care
• Follow established protocols and respect patient confidentiality

Required profile

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential and completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Demonstrated skills in basic patient care such as hygiene, feeding, mobility and comfort
• Ability to measure and record vital signs and observe and report changes in patient condition
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Physical ability to lift, transfer and stand for long periods in a clinical setting
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethical conduct and respect for diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Previous experience in hospital, clinic or military healthcare settings is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Basic computer literacy for documentation and use of electronic health records is beneficial
