Head of RAS (Regulatory Affairs & Safety)

About the role

Reckitt is hiring a Regulatory Manager (head of RAS) in Pakistan, acting as the bridge between the company and regulatory agencies to guide its products through complex regulatory landscapes. The role reports to the Senior Director Regulatory & Medical Affairs AMET and has a dotted line to the Country General Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regulatory and product compliance advice on advertising, label claims and printed packaging, and support responses to consumer and legal inquiries
• Train staff and the sales force on pharmacovigilance and drug safety, and stay up to date on requirements
• Ensure registration and regulatory compliance of marketed products in Pakistan, including managing compliance dossiers, national dossiers and export certificates of free sale
• Maintain and update product registration and compliance files, and coordinate amendments, variations and rapid approvals with authorities
• Develop national texts such as PIL and SPC, including coordination of translations, and maintain a database of local regulatory requirements
• Monitor and interpret local regulatory trends and lead strategies to ensure compliance
• Collect, assess and report adverse events and adverse drug reactions to the Global Medical Affairs Drug Safety group, and coordinate risk mitigation

Required profile

• At least 9 years of experience in the OTC market within a FMCG or pharmaceutical environment, in regulatory, safety, sales, trade marketing or marketing roles
• Pharmacist approval or a degree in pharmaceutics, chemistry, human biology, human medicine, veterinary medicine, biochemistry or biology
• Broad knowledge of Pakistan's regulatory and healthcare systems
