Patient (A/R) Specialist - Medical Billing (US Claims)

About the role

A full-time Patient (A/R) Specialist for US medical billing is needed in Karachi, working on site in the Korangi Industrial Area. The role follows up unpaid claims, handles denials and appeals, and works with payers and clearinghouses. The shift runs from 5 pm to 3 am, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up unpaid claims with insurance companies and patients in a timely way.
• Review and analyse denials, underpayments and rejections, and initiate appeals when required.
• Work payer portals, clearinghouses and phone calls to resolve outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate notes in practice management and EHR systems.
• Identify denial trends and escalate them to the team for process improvements.
• Collaborate with posting, credentialing and billing teams so claims are submitted and collected efficiently.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of patient A/R and denial management experience in US medical billing (1 year stated as required).
• Familiarity with multiple payers.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills, detail-oriented and proactive problem solver.
• Preferred: wound care or multi-specialty billing experience, knowledge of claim appeals and payer-specific guidelines, ability to manage daily productivity targets.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10 and HCFA-1500 claim structure.
• Experience with payer portals, clearinghouses and EHR systems.

What we offer

• Salary of Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month.
