Field Operations Manager – Rural Gujarat

About the role

PTCL Group is seeking a proactive manager to lead field and customer operations for its rural network in Gujarat. The role oversees transport, fiber, long‑haul, metro and access networks, ensuring high availability and timely fault resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the transport network in Haripur, covering fiber, long‑haul, metro and access segments.
• Lead the FMC team to meet MTTR targets and maintain network availability.
• Plan and execute copper‑to‑GPON transformation projects, including budgeting, requirement gathering and timeline estimation.
• Monitor and resolve copper/GPON faults, and ensure quality of installations.
• Coordinate with planning teams to upload passive hierarchy data for GPON optimization.
• Initiate HR processes for hiring third‑party installers and maintain their records in Maximo.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on network issues and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic or Telecom Engineering.
• 4‑5 years of experience in telecom network operations, planning or project management.
• Proven ability to lead field teams and manage multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in data‑driven decision making.
