Head of Financial Reporting & IFRS – Banking Industry

About the role

Lead and oversee the financial reporting and IFRS function for a banking institution, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting in line with IFRS, SBP regulations, and applicable accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and finalize monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS requirements, especially IFRS 9, and SBP regulatory reporting.
• Oversee accounting and reporting for financial instruments, provisions, impairment and complex banking transactions.
• Lead regulatory and statutory reporting, coordinating with external auditors, internal audit, risk and finance teams.
• Strengthen reporting processes, controls and governance to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in financial reporting within banking or financial services.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA or ICMA preferred.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in IFRS, including IFRS 9.
• In‑depth knowledge of SBP regulatory reporting requirements.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting and banking accounting.
