Industrial Engineer - Textile Production

About the role

Penna Overseas Corp. is hiring a full-time Industrial Engineer within its Industrial Engineering department. The role focuses on textile production, supply chain management and process optimization to improve productivity, reduce waste and make the best use of resources.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct time and motion studies, line balancing and production layout improvements
• Optimize the use of manpower, materials and machines
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for manufacturing operations
• Evaluate machinery, tools and equipment for efficiency improvements
• Monitor daily production and recommend corrective actions
• Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S initiatives
• Prepare productivity, efficiency and cost-reduction reports
• Train supervisors and operators on process optimization techniques

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
• 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in the textile, apparel or manufacturing industry
• Ability to manage several improvement projects at once

Required skills

• Analytical, problem-solving and optimization skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD and industrial engineering tools
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, time study, work study, line balancing and process flow mapping
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills
