Junior Finance Executive (QuickBooks)

About the role

A detail-oriented finance professional is sought to support financial accuracy, audit processes and continuous improvement across transaction operations. The role suits someone with at least 2 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a BPO or shared services setting, with a strong grasp of U.S. accounting principles and retail transaction workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Review, clean and reconcile daily store transactions, including sales, refunds, fuel purchases and inventory adjustments.
• Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks, including journal entries, bank reconciliations and expense categorization.
• Generate periodic financial reports, spot discrepancies and share actionable insights to improve accuracy.
• Support internal audits by preparing documentation and resolving transaction-level queries.
• Work with U.S.-based finance teams to clarify transaction details and align with corporate accounting standards.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA/CA or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a BPO or shared services environment.
• Experience working with U.S. clients in the retail or fuel industry is preferred.

Required skills

• Preferred: hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online or Desktop.
• Strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles and retail transaction workflows.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory reconciliation, and sales tax and fuel tax reporting.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and effective communication for cross-border collaboration.
