Management Accountant (Accounts Payable & Treasury Support)

About the role

Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery (MWD), a provider of furniture delivery and warehousing services, is looking for a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join its Finance team in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi. The role centres on Accounts Payable (AP) operations, treasury support, cash management, financial reporting and month-end closing. It is an onsite position with working hours from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM (PKST).

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable: invoice verification, coding, approvals, recording and payment processing.
• Monitor AP aging, vendor balances and outstanding invoices, and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Review recurring invoices, contractual payments and payment terms, and prepare payment schedules and payment runs.
• Support treasury operations, monitor bank balances, help with bank reconciliations and record payments and transfers.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and prepare AP aging reports, liability schedules and payment forecasts.
• Coordinate month-end and period-end closing, including AP accruals, expense cut-off and open purchase order reviews.
• Reconcile AP subledger balances with the General Ledger and prepare AP schedules for reporting and audit.
• Support contractor and 1099-related payments and suggest improvements to AP processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• ACCA Finalist status is mandatory; candidates who do not meet this will not be considered.
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, financial reporting or treasury operations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, accruals, reconciliations and month-end closing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payment and month-end deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP or accounting systems; NetSuite experience is an advantage.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyse large volumes of financial data.
• Attention to detail, analytical and organisational skills, and good communication with vendors.
