Mechanical Design Technician (AutoCAD)

About the role

Keyway Solutions LLP, a startup focused on mechanical, structural and manufacturing design for international clients, is looking for a Mechanical Design Technician with a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical Engineering to join its team in Lahore. The role covers work from conceptual design through to final production, ensuring mechanical systems and components meet high quality and performance standards. It is a full-time, onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical drawings and blueprints using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine designs.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and schematics.
• Ensure designs meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Support prototype development and testing phases.

Required profile

• Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience working with AutoCAD in mechanical engineering projects.
• Resident of Lahore; the company does not provide accommodation.
• Willingness to sign a two-year contract; a paid one-month trial precedes job confirmation.
• DAE diploma or certificate submitted as collateral for security, held until contract obligations are met.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• High accuracy and attention to detail, with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

What we offer

• Salary of 37,000 - 45,000 PKR, paid in the first week of each month.

• Opportunity to sit for the SolidWorks CSWP exam after one year of the contract, with the company paying half of the fee (up to $200).

Hiring involves two rounds of online interviews and a minimum five-day paid on-site trial. Working hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
