Senior Mechanical Draftsman

About the role

Keyway Solutions LLP, a startup focused on mechanical, structural and manufacturing design for international clients, is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented mid-level mechanical draftsman based in Lahore. The role covers a full range of projects, from conceptual design to final production, and requires a BTech or Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical Engineering with at least two years of experience in AutoCAD drafting.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical drawings and blueprints using CAD software
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as schematics, diagrams and parts lists
• Work with engineers and team members to develop and refine mechanical designs
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and project specifications
• Identify and resolve technical issues during design and implementation
• Assist in creating and testing prototypes to validate design concepts

Required profile

• BTech or DAE in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum two years of experience in mechanical drafting with AutoCAD
• Resident of Lahore; accommodation is not provided
• Willingness to sign a two-year contract
• Submission of BTech or DAE diploma or certificate as collateral for security

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking and teamwork

What we offer

• Salary of 45,000 - 60,000 PKR, paid in the first week of each month
• Paid annual, sick and casual leave
• Annual increment of 20-30% if performance goals are met
• Opportunity to sit for the SolidWorks CSWP exam after one year, with the company paying half of the fee (up to $200)
• Mentorship and a clear path to Senior Design or leadership roles

Working hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, full time and onsite. Hiring involves two online interviews, an onsite test and trial, and a paid one-month trial before job confirmation.
