Regional Facilities Engineer

About the role

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is looking for a senior Regional Facilities Engineer to provide technical leadership, governance and operational oversight for mission‑critical facilities across the Middle East and North Africa. The role acts as the primary engineering authority, ensuring safe, compliant and resilient operation of critical infrastructure while supporting business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and governance for data centres, technology rooms and command centres throughout the MENA region.
• Lead change‑management, risk mitigation and incident response processes for critical systems.
• Conduct technical reviews, audits and capacity planning to ensure infrastructure reliability and resilience.
• Manage relationships with specialist contractors, vendors and client stakeholders.
• Champion health, safety and environmental standards and support sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with professional engineering qualification.
• 8‑10 years of experience in mission‑critical facilities or data‑centre operations.
• Proven leadership in large corporate or financial‑services environments.
• Strong background in incident response, root‑cause analysis and change management.

Required skills

• UPS systems, HV/LV electrical distribution, generators and fuel systems.
• Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Precision cooling, chillers and HVAC systems.
• Fire detection and suppression systems, capacity planning and resiliency design.
