Senior Citrix Engineer - VDI & Cloud Support

About the role

The Senior Citrix Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting Citrix environments, both on-premises and in the cloud (DaaS). The role delivers a seamless end-user experience while keeping the system highly available and secure, and covers performance tuning, hybrid VDI management, troubleshooting and project leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Citrix infrastructure strategies for on-premises and cloud environments, including scalable, secure VDI solutions.
• Monitor and improve Citrix performance, reduce latency, fix IOPS issues and implement load-balancing traffic routing.
• Oversee migration of users from on-premises to DaaS and manage hybrid VDI environments.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, perform root cause analysis and document fixes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations by applying patches, security updates and access controls, and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Lead projects such as Citrix Cloud migrations, Citrix Cloud upgrades and NetScaler technology refreshes.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience managing Citrix environments (on-premises and cloud), including design, deployment and troubleshooting.
• Experience with large-scale VDI environments serving hundreds or thousands of users across multiple geographies.
• Proven track record in Citrix Cloud migrations and hybrid deployments.
• Experience leading infrastructure projects and working with cross-functional teams.

• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix NetScaler and Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM)
• Azure and other public/private clouds integrated with Citrix DaaS; Hyper-V and VMware
• Security principles, GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and RBAC
• PowerShell scripting, automation and deployment methodologies
• Project management and strong communication skills
