Senior Pre-Sales Engineer - Network Infrastructure & Security

About the role

The company is looking for a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in network infrastructure and security solutions. The role covers understanding customer requirements, designing technical solutions, preparing proposals and BoQs, running presentations and POCs, and supporting the sales team through the opportunity lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements and business challenges.
• Design and propose network infrastructure and security solutions.
• Prepare HLD, BoQs, technical proposals, compliance matrices and solution presentations.
• Support pre-sales for RFPs, RFQs, tenders and customer technical evaluations.
• Conduct technical presentations, workshops, product demonstrations and POCs.
• Work with Sales, OEMs, distributors and technical teams, and clarify technical points during bidding and evaluation.
• Develop solutions around switching, routing, wireless, firewalls, SD-WAN and network security.
• Coordinate with OEMs such as Cisco, Huawei, Dell and Fortinet for validation, sizing, pricing and support.
• Maintain technical documentation, take part in site surveys and customer meetings, and support the handover of won projects to implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecom, Engineering or a related field.
• 4-6 years of relevant pre-sales or network engineering experience.
• Understanding of enterprise customer environments, preferably FSI, enterprise and large-scale organisations.
• Certifications such as CCNA or equivalent, Huawei HCSA Pre-Sales or equivalent; Fortinet certifications are an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking and network security.
• Good understanding of routing and switching, enterprise wireless, NGFW, SD-WAN and LAN/WAN architecture.
• Working knowledge of Cisco, Huawei, Dell Networking and Fortinet.
• Ability to size solutions, prepare BoQs, write proposals and compare products.
• Strong communication, presentation, documentation and proposal-writing skills.
