Shift Manager – Foods

About the role

Unilever is seeking a Shift Manager for its Foods factory in Lahore. The role focuses on driving manufacturing operations to meet agreed targets for volume, cost, safety, quality and other key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Plan making and packing operations on the shop floor to achieve shift targets for volume, quality, output reliability, cost and safety.
• Receive chemical and packaging materials and ensure optimal usage to minimise variance and waste.
• Organise and control labour (operators, technicians and contract staff) according to required numbers and skill sets.
• Monitor material consumption, yield and supervise weekly/monthly stock counts and fourth‑shift transactions.
• Ensure workers wear appropriate personal protective equipment and comply with HSE rules.
• Drive autonomous maintenance activities and support implementation of TPM, HACCP and audit recommendations.
• Identify skill gaps, arrange training and continuously improve processes.

Required profile

• BSc Engineering with 2‑4 years of experience in operations/production within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environment (HSE) standards.
• Leadership mindset with excellent communication, problem‑solving and a growth orientation.
• Ability to use data and insights for decision‑making and to drive high performance.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of HSE, TPM and HACCP.
• Engineering fundamentals applicable to food manufacturing.
