Wing Head - HR Overseas Wing (VP)

About the role

The Wing Head - HR Overseas Wing (VP) will lead and oversee HR operations for the bank's overseas branches, offices, subsidiaries and other international operations, ensuring alignment with the bank's HR strategy and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and workforce plans for overseas operations, including manpower requirements, staffing levels, organizational structures and succession planning.
• Manage recruitment, selection and placement of employees for overseas roles such as Country Heads, Branch Managers and other critical positions.
• Coordinate overseas postings, transfers, rotations, extensions and repatriation in line with approved policies.
• Provide HR advisory support to Country Heads, Branch Managers and overseas management on employee matters, policies and performance issues.
• Oversee performance management, talent management, career development and succession planning across overseas operations.
• Handle employee relations and disciplinary matters for overseas employees, ensuring compliance with host‑country employment requirements.
• Review compensation, allowances, benefits and other entitlements for overseas staff.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, local employment laws, regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Monitor headcount, vacancies, turnover and workforce costs, providing recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and maintain HR MIS, dashboards and periodic reports on overseas employees and key HR indicators.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation; Masters degree and/or relevant professional certifications preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in banking or financial services, preferably with international/overseas operations and exposure to employee relations, expatriate management or international HR practices.
• Experience managing HR matters across geographically dispersed locations.
• Good communication, interpersonal, analytical and time‑management skills.
• Risk and compliance orientation.
