Associate MERN Stack Engineer

About the role

Chainfore is seeking an Associate MERN Stack Engineer to join its Lahore engineering pod. You will work on production‑grade web applications for international clients, collaborating with senior engineers and architects from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features using MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and micro‑services within a distributed architecture.
• Write clean, testable, and well‑documented code that passes senior code reviews.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, technical design discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Debug, profile, and optimise services running in production.
• Collaborate with QA, Product, and DevOps teams to deliver reliably on tight timelines.
• Take ownership of assigned modules and grow toward full‑stack delivery independence.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience building production applications on the MERN stack.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, including async patterns and modules.
• Experience with micro‑services concepts such as service decomposition and API gateways.
• Comfortable with Git branching workflows and code review practices.
• Familiarity with REST API design, JSON, and authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
