Junior Contract Engineer

About the role

SMEC is seeking a motivated Junior Contract Engineer to join a significant hydropower project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. This position offers hands‑on experience in contract administration and claims management within a large‑scale consultancy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the monitoring of contract performance and compliance.
• Coordinate with internal teams to track contractual obligations and requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contracts and claims.
• Assist in the preparation of basic claims documentation and contractual correspondence.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (e.g., B.Sc/BE).
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in contract management or infrastructure/hydropower projects (fresh graduates with strong academic records may be considered).
• Basic understanding of FIDIC contracts is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant contract management tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
