Senior Accountant - US Market (Night Shift)

About the role

A full-time Senior Accountant position in Model Town, Lahore, working on-site during US business hours (6:30 PM to 3:30 AM PKT, six days a week including alternate Saturdays). The accountant handles day-to-day accounting, US bookkeeping, QuickBooks, tax and payroll for US clients, with strong English communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple US clients (healthcare, e-commerce, retail and others), maintain the general ledger, run month-end and year-end closings and reconcile banks and accounts.
• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements and management reports under US GAAP, keeping audit-ready books in QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
• Process US payroll, prepare W-2s and 1099s, and file quarterly and annual payroll taxes (941, 940, state forms).
• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and entities, handle multi-state sales tax, support entity formation and compliance, and help respond to IRS and state notices.
• Build budgets, cash flow forecasts and projections, run KPI and gap analyses, and support valuations, due diligence and lender/investor documents.
• Act as the day-to-day contact for US clients by email, call and video, explain reports and tax deadlines in clear English, and flag discrepancies early.

Required profile

• 5-8 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years working directly with US clients.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken English; able to speak directly with US clients.
• Ability to manage several client accounts and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work onsite in Lahore during US business hours (night shift).

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop.
• US GAAP, W-2/1099 reporting and US payroll basics.
• Month-end closings, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Preferred: CPA, ACCA, CA, EA or equivalent; hands-on US tax returns, payroll platforms (Gusto, ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll), tax software (Drake, UltraTax, Lacerte), forecasting, budgeting, gap analysis, valuation, or prior work at a US CPA firm or outsourced accounting company.
