Assistant Manager Accounts

About the role

A full-time, on-site Assistant Manager Accounts position is open. The successful candidate will support the Accounts Manager with financial reporting, oversee daily accounting operations and supervise junior accounting staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Accounts Manager in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll and general ledger.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Coordinate audits and help prepare audit documentation.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures and controls to improve efficiency.
• Prepare and analyse budgets and forecasts, highlighting variances.
• Support the Accounts Manager in financial decision-making and collaborate with other departments.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience; professional accounting certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Proven accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry.
• Experience with financial analysis and reporting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
